The best time for exterior residential painting is typically during mild and dry weather, such as late spring, summer, and early fall. Avoid painting during extreme temperatures, direct hot sunlight, heavy rain, or high humidity, as these conditions can affect paint adhesion and drying. Although we take it case by case, typically we do not do exterior painting after October 15th as the overnight temperatures are not consistently high enough to allow for adequate drying/curing.

When choosing an exterior paint color, consider your home's architectural style, roofing, landscaping, and surrounding environment. Sample paint swatches on your home to see how they appear in different lighting conditions. Many paint companies offer tools and online resources to help you visualize different colors on your exterior.
Knowing the type of paint and materials your house painter plans to use is crucial for the longevity and durability of the finished product. High-quality paints and materials ensure a better overall appearance and can save you money in the long run by reducing the need for frequent touch-ups or repainting. A good painting contractor will get discounts from reputable paint stores for the higher grade paint brands.
Exterior paint finishes impact both the appearance and durability of your home's exterior. Flat finishes provide a matte appearance but may be less durable. Satin finishes offer a subtle sheen and are often used on siding. Soft-gloss finishes provide a glossy look and are great for trim and doors because they're easy to clean and resist moisture.
Using a power washer can be an effective way to clean the exterior before painting, but it must be done carefully to avoid damaging the surface. Use low pressure and the appropriate nozzle, and ensure the surface is thoroughly dry before applying paint.
Proper surface preparation is key to achieving a flawless paint job. Ask your painter about their preparation process, including steps such as pressure washing, scraping, priming, and caulking. On some projects, around 80% of time is spent prepping before even applying a drop of paint. A thorough and meticulous approach to surface preparation ensures optimal paint adhesion and a smooth finish.
Painting projects often generate a significant amount of waste, such as empty paint cans and used drop cloths. Ensure that your painter includes cleanup and proper disposal of materials as part of their service. A professional painter will leave your home clean and free from any debris. Any leftover paint should be labeled and left for you to store in a cool dry place.
Many painting companies hire subcontractors (also called day laborers) instead of having their own full-time staff. Allowing subcontractors into your home, though, creates a number of risks. We Dont chance any of those risk we ONLY use our own emplyoees
